Update 1.1.2


Alrighty, so I decided to add some more to the game today! I figure why not, I had been talking with friends about what they wanted to see added. I knew the path to add the things they spoke of so I just went ahead and did it! Although I will mention this and the last hotfix build are now debug versions. I hate to say it but it looks like Godot 3s mysterious ways have caught up with me this time. The game only crashes if I export with no debug, and the logs are empty and have no errors.

So for now until I either find a fix, or until I can remake the game in Godot 4 (if I end up wanting to take this game further) they'll be debug builds.


I also want to note that v1.0.1 is staying up for download. Since I changed the gameplay in this version from the "classic" method of play. I wanted to make sure people could experience it as it was when it was first released!

The Major stuff!

  • Added Potions! ; Heal yourself and continue the chopping spree even if you get chopped!
  • Added Hour Glasses! ; Add a couple of extra seconds to the clock! More time for chopping!

The minor stuff

  • removed individual scene loading scripts related to bootup
  • added a single script to handle all scene loading, button, and link connecting
  • removed Left & Right Axe, replaced with more generic variant "Item"
  • added different item mechanics, and made changes to hit checking for new functions
  • new spawn rate table
  • now able to skip boot screens with esc
  • fixed randomize()
  • attempted to fix crash at export without debug
